So it was my birthday on Tuesday. In the afternoon we had a little tea party with some relatives and Vin carved a really cool pumpkin for me (he wouldn't be happy with this picture of it; doesn't do it justice). Since some of my family members had to work that night we decided to do the big family supper on Wednesday instead. I thought it'd be fun to leave the boys with mom and dad and take Vincent to a hockey game Tuesday night. It was Vincent's first hockey game and our team lost, but it was still a fun thing to do.
On Wednesday mom had Vincent make my birthday cake while dad and I took the boys out to play. The whole family got together that evening for a steak and potato BBQ (you did a great job of our steaks, Vin) and birthday cake (great work on the cake, too, Vin). Really nice to be home for my birthday; I haven't been home for it in more than 9 years!
The weather has been so beautiful. Dad has been out raking leaves a number of times and it's been warm enough (with no wind!) that Atticus could go out and mess them all up so dad has to do it again (and again, and again).
Just haven't found the time to get the other blog up and running (nicely) so I'll just keep posting here until I'm (relatively) happy with the other one.
